Kershisnik art

We do not have a lot of disposable income for thing other than necessities. That's why it is important to make sure that "necessities" includes original artwork!

I've been wanting to get a medium-sized painting of Brian Kershisnik for years. What ends up happening, though, is by the time I time images of an art show are on-line, the vast majority have already been sold. Well Dave Ericson helped me out by writing me last month and telling me that he would be getting in a few additional Kershisnik pieces this week. Last night he e-mailed me photos and essentially gave me an opportunity to purchase one before the rest of the world saw the images posted on Dave's web site. So here's the one we purchased this morning:

Isn't it beautiful? Someone once described good art as being a glimpse of heaven and a place where you'd like to spend some time. I think this one meets that definition.

  1. I still can't believe that I never knew you had a blog! I'm ashamed... But anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed reading through all of these posts (after completing my homework, of course). Even though I knew about pretty much everything that you wrote about, it was nice to "hear your voice" through the text. Oh, and one side note, when I had to write a blog a couple of years ago for one of my classes, I entitled it "musings of a mormon." Ironic.
